Wildlife lovers will get the chance to take part in a day of fun activities in Ruthin.

Denbighshire County Council’s Countryside Service is holding a nature day on Saturday, June 8 at Nantclwyd y Dre between 10am and 5pm.

Everything from birds, bugs and bats to woodlands and wildflower meadows will be on show and attendees can meet those who care for local wildlife.

During the event the winners of the Council’s Bee Friendly logo competition will be presented with their prizes.

Children aged between five and 14 were asked to create a logo after the local authority was awarded Bee Friendly status from the Welsh Government, a scheme which aims to make Wales a pollinator-friendly country.
