Denbighshire Platinum Jubilee Schools Competitions
In June, the Queen will be celebrating her Platinum Jubilee – marking 70 years on the British throne.
As part of these celebrations, Denbighshire County Council’s Education and Children’s Services worked with councillor Alan James, former Chairman of the Council, to devise a series of exciting competitions for schools.
There was something for all ages – flag designing, letter writing, sculpture building, biscuit decorating, even a royal bake-off.
We have some very talented children and young people in Denbighshire and their entries were all brilliant.
A lot of hard work, effort and creativity has gone into all the competitions and they have been really difficult to judge.
After receiving an amazing 2,407 entries over the 7 competitions and a lot of head scratching and deliberation, the winners are announced as follows.
