A private health clinic based in Rossett, Wrexham, is now providing paediatric services, giving families in Wrexham and the surrounding areas faster access to doctors’ appointments, specialist medical care and treatment for children and young people.

Bridge House Clinic, which opened in April 2025, has received approval to provide appointments and treatment to children and young people. Patients of all ages can now attend the clinic and benefit from fast access to medical expertise in the recently refurbished building.

The new paediatric offering includes GP appointments and specialist care for a range of common childhood concerns such as dermatology, ear, nose and throat conditions and orthopaedics, as well as preventative services including childhood immunisations. Appointment slots are longer and offer time for children and parents to ask questions and feel heard, which can be particularly important when dealing with young children.

This is the latest development for the private health clinic, which has already expanded its team of medical specialists and range of services since opening in the spring.

Located on Station Road in Rossett, the building has undergone a complete transformation since it was purchased by founder, Dr Arvin Rodrigues, an experienced Consultant Clinical Neurophysiologist with extensive training in neurophysiology and epilepsy.

He planned to open a clinic which would bridge the gap for those wanting a patient-centred approach with faster and more convenient access to care and treatment in the Wrexham and Chester area.

The building was previously rented out as business offices and required substantial work to transform it into an ideal space for carrying out medical procedures and confidential patient appointments. Now fully renovated and equipped with state-of-the-art medical equipment, it operates as a medical and wellness clinic offering patients consultations in a village setting with a calm and relaxed feel, differentiating it from many busy medical settings.

Dr Rodrigues said, “From the outset, I wanted to provide fast access to medical appointments for residents in the Wrexham and Chester areas. We have been seeing adult patients from the local community, but it was important to me that we offer appointments to children.

He added, “Nobody wants to wait to access treatment or for a diagnosis, and we know that waiting times on the NHS can be long. For parents, that can be incredibly stressful and for children, it can be difficult to understand.

Children often wait far too long to see specialists in areas where they have common concerns, such as dermatology and ENT. This is where we can help. Parents can book for their child to see a private GP or directly to see a specialist without having to wait weeks or months for an appointment. We don’t just want to see children when they are unwell, though; we are here to support with preventative measures too, such as childhood immunisations.”

The clinic is approved by all the major healthcare insurance providers, and its services are available to both insured and uninsured patients. Families looking for access to treatment without long waiting times or for second opinions can request a referral from their GP or book appointments directly with the clinic without a referral.
