DJs and dazzling dresses: Ladies Day at Bangor-on-Dee this weekend
Ladies of Wrexham will don their glad rags once again as they battle for the title of Best Dressed. Those who enter the competition will be in with the chance of winning some fantastic prizes, consisting of a fashion voucher of varying values for first, second and third place winners, two Paddock Restaurant tickets for Friday 4th September (North Wales Business Day), a bottle of Champagne, and a bouquet of flowers.
Not only that, but guests should bring their dancing shoes, as radio legend Toby Anstis is set to host the ultimate 90s party. He will be playing tunes from the best decade of music – featuring everything from Take That, Robin S, Spice Girls, Oasis and N-Trance.
Guests in the Paddock Enclosure can enjoy three under-cover bars and various food concessions, so they can stay stocked up on refreshments all day long.
Steve Davies, Chief Operating Officer at Chester Race Company, which operates Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse, said: “Ladies Day is always a hugely popular fixture at Bangor-on-Dee. Everyone loves an excuse to get dressed up and the Best Dressed competition never fails to bring a touch of glamour to the occasion. There’s always a buzz in the atmosphere on Ladies Day, but DJ Toby Anstis is going to bring the party vibes and make sure it’s a day to remember.
“Aside from the feel-good energy, Bangor-on-Dee also always guarantees an excellent calibre of horse racing. Our racing fans in attendance are in for a phenomenal day.”
Gates open at 11.30am and racing starts from 1.50pm. Adult tickets start from £16.
