Changes to public transport in South Denbighshire

Changes are being made to a public transport service operating in South Denbighshire.

Bus services in Betws Gwerfil Goch, Bontuchel, Clocaenog, Clawddnewydd, Cyffylliog, Derwen and Melin y Wig will increase from three days a week to five while Bryneglwys will enjoy a service to Ruthin on two days a week.

Llanelidan will continue to see journeys on two days a week but the days will change as this is now operated in conjunction with the new Bryneglwys service.

The vehicles operating the service will now be eight or 12-seater minibuses.

Passengers from Derwen, Llantysilio and Pentredŵr will need to book their journeys in advance by phone on 01490 266004.

The Ruthin town service, which continues three days a week, will see minor timetable changes and will additionally serve part of Cae Seren for the older persons’ bungalows.

All these services will be operated directly by Denbighshire County Council with the South Denbighshire Community Partnership.

The changes will take effect from September 2.

There will be some changes to timetables and these are available at www.denbighshire.gov.uk/travel or by phone on 01824 706982.
