ClwydAlyn, a North Wales Housing Association, has been named a finalist in the Mental Health and Wellbeing category of the 2024 Working Families Best Practice Awards.

The awards celebrate employers across the UK whose stand-out cultures and working practices are leading the way in flexible and employee-friendly workplaces, in their support for parents and carers.

Clare Budden, Group CEO, ClwydAlyn Housing said: “Being named a national finalist in the Health and Wellbeing category is testament to our dedicated Health and Wellbeing team’s efforts.

“I’m so proud to say that our dedicated Health and Wellbeing Team was also recently awarded with the Gold level wellbeing quality mark for Mental Health First Aid Wales. 145 of our staff members are already trained as Mental Health First Aiders, and we’re one of only five other organisations across Wales with this Gold Quality Mark logo.”

Jane van Zyl, Chief Executive, Working Families said: “Once again, we have been able to select from outstanding organisations who are showing the world what is possible when employers are willing to go against the grain and lead by example. Their drive to create a more equitable, inclusive society that works for everyone is clear.”

Employers from a range of sectors across the UK have competed to catch the judges’ attention in nine categories and winners will be announced at an awards event at Apothecaries’ Hall on 26 June 2024.
