Council raise flag to mark NHS, Social Care and Frontline Workers’ Day

Denbighshire County Council is marking NHS, Social Care and Frontline Staff Day by raising a flag at County Hall in Ruthin.

The flag was raised to recognise the contribution of NHS, social care and frontline staff. July 5th is the national day of thanks to show gratitude to all frontline staff and critical workers.

Councillor Pete Prendergast, Chair of the Council, said:

“This is the third year in which we have commemorated this very special and important event. The date also marks 75 years since the birth of the NHS.

It is a pleasure to be honouring these unsung heroes, who work tirelessly to deliver essential frontline services in order to support communities across the nation.

It is important that we honour those who care for and protect the most vulnerable in our communities”.

Councillor Elen Heaton, Lead Member for Health and Social Care said:

“This momentous event calls for raising the flag high in honour of the exceptional contributions made by our NHS, social care, and frontline heroes.

Together, we express our heartfelt gratitude and deep admiration to those who have selflessly dedicated themselves to caring and supporting our community”.
