Council thanks Denbighshire businesses for safe re-opening
Denbighshire County Council is thanking businesses who have re-opened safely as lockdown restrictions continue to be lifted.
Traders across the county have been welcoming customers back with more set to open in the coming weeks.
Cllr Hugh Evans OBE, Leader of Denbighshire County Council, said: “It has been a very difficult time for businesses with many forced to close during the lockdown.
“Now they are re-opening it has been pleasing to see the commitment and effort that has gone into ensuring their places of business are safe for staff and members of the public.
“I’d like to thank Denbighshire businesses for how they have responded and the work they have undertaken to open so they can provide goods and services to our residents. This innovative approach shows what a great business community we have here in the county.
“We have been working closely with businesses over the past weeks and will continue to do so as the lockdown eases to support their work.
“As a Council we are doing all we can to support our businesses and town centres and to protect inward investment during these very difficult times.
“We have limited resources and won’t be able to provide direct funding to businesses, but we are already working to help our town centres prepare, help our businesses located out of town and support business in our rural communities.
“Customers can support businesses by taking part in our #LoveLiveLocal social media campaign. The campaign encourages people to use their local shops and services and share positive experiences of Denbighshire as a great place to shop and enjoy using #LoveLiveLocal on Twitter.
“Businesses can also use the hashtag to promote themselves, their products, offers and events.”
