Denbighshire Council seeks solution to Police presence in Prestatyn
Denbighshire County Council is working proactively with North Wales Police to secure premises for police presence in Prestatyn.
At present, the Police do not have a permanent site in Prestatyn, and during a discussion in today’s Council meeting, it was agreed that Officers will continue to negotiate with North Wales Police to seek a solution.
Councillor Rhys Thomas, Lead Member for Housing and Communities said, “Police presence on the ground is very important to residents, particularly in a town the size of Prestatyn. As a Council, we’re very glad that we’re continuing to work closely with North Wales Police to secure a solution to this issue.
“The motion agreed in Monday’s Council meeting gives Officers the authority to continue these important discussions and to ensure there is accessible police presence for the public in Prestatyn.”
