Denbighshire libraries move to next phase of re-opening

Libraries across Denbighshire are moving to the next phase of re-introducing services.
From Monday (July 27) libraries in Rhyl, Prestatyn and Corwen will be offering limited access to public computers and One Stop Shop services by appointment and similar access will be available in other libraries over the coming weeks.
Customers should phone their library to book an appointment to use public-access computers, or to visit the One Stop Shop to make a payment or for help with Council services.
An order and collect service has been in operation for four weeks and has already proved popular with more than 1,400 customers collecting bags of books.
Cllr Tony Thomas, Denbighshire County Council’s Lead Member for Housing and Communities, said: “I’m pleased we are able to continue our phased re-introduction of services at the county’s libraries. “We know how important our libraries and One Stop Shop services are to our residents and this latest phase will give residents the chance to access more services in a safe way.
“The order and collect service has already proved popular with our customers and we have been getting positive feedback from our users. As lockdown continues to ease we will be able to re-introduce further services while ensuring the safety of customers and our staff.”
One library user said: “I just wanted to extend a big thanks of gratitude to the library and their wonderful click and collect service. As someone who was self-isolating this has been a wonderful highlight to very long days. It’s lovely that the library is just a phone call away and they’ll try their very best to get the books I would like to read and even throw in a book I would never think about reading.”
