Flying Start services expand further into Denbighshire

The Flying Start scheme is now expanding into more postcodes within Denbighshire.

The new areas will include eligible postcodes in Henllan, Denbigh, Rhyl and Prestatyn.

Denbighshire Flying Start is a Welsh Government funded programme for children aged from 0 years up until their 4th birthday and their parents/carers, who live in certain post coded areas.

The aim of the programme is to help children to have the best possible start in life for their future growth and development.

This expansion also means that families with children under 4 years old in the new approved areas will be eligible to access all elements of Flying Start, which include enhanced Health Visitor, 12 ½ hours of funded childcare, Parenting support, access to the Flying Start groups and Early Language Development support and more.

Councillor Diane King, Lead Member for Education, Children and Families said:

“This latest expansion of this scheme means that more families in Denbighshire get access to vital services, such as an enhanced Health Visitor, 12 ½ hours of funded childcare and parenting support.”
