Major Investment Continues At Hayling Island Holiday Park With New Woodpecker Meadows Development
Hayling Island Holiday Park, located in Hampshire, is celebrating the completion of Woodpecker Meadows, a major new 51-base holiday home development.
Woodpecker Meadows forms part of Meadow Bay Villages’ continuing investment in Hayling Island Holiday Park, which has seen over £7m being invested in total since its acquisition in 2024.
The new Woodpecker Meadows development offers a substantial selection of Gold and Platinum holiday homes for visiting holiday guests, providing modern, high-quality accommodation. It also includes 14 exclusive lakeside plots for holiday home owners, offering a premium location within the new development.
Following this significant investment and a programme of improvements, Hayling Island Holiday Park welcomed 25% more guests in 2026 than in 2025, demonstrating the strong impact of its continued commitment to enhancing the visitor experience.
The investment has helped create a market-leading destination for holiday home owners and visiting guests, while also delivering wider benefits for the local community through supporting employment, local businesses and the wider Hayling Island economy.
It has taken five months to complete the Woodpecker Meadows development, with Elliotts Builders supporting local employment throughout the project. The company engaged local tradespeople, including groundworkers and landscapers, helping ensure that the investment also benefited workers and businesses within the surrounding community.
Following decades of under-investment and a period in administration under its previous ownership, the improvements at Hayling Island Holiday Park over the past two years have included, the redevelopment of the outdoor lido and splash park, improvements to the park’s front entrance and car park, the creation of new holiday home developments, as well as wider upgrades across the site.

The development has created a new area for holiday home ownership, with a selection of modern holiday homes and lodges available.
