Refurbishment work at Prestatyn High School progressing well

Refurbishment work at Prestatyn High School’s Science Blocks is progressing well, with the work now in its final phase before completion.

The work has been undertaken in phases, in an effort to help improve the learning environment for pupils.

Working in partnership with the school, Denbighshire County Council has invested almost £600,000 to provide refurbishments, bringing updated and rejuvenated science facilities to the High School.

The school is also set to receive further maintenance works, including the next phase of roof refurbishment works and the refurbishment of a number of classrooms.

Councillor Gill German, Deputy Leader and Lead Member for Education, Children and Families said:

“I am delighted to see this final phase of the science block refurbishment at Prestatyn High School underway and it was great to visit the school recently to see how work is getting on first hand.

I am looking forward to seeing this work completed and progress made with further refurbishment works at Prestatyn High.”

A spokesperson for Prestatyn High School said:

“We are delighted to see the final phase of redevelopment of the science labs taking shape. These new facilities have already made a big impact on teaching and learning outcomes in Science at Prestatyn High.

This final phase promises to have an even greater impact on our STEM subjects.”
