The Council can confirm that weekend collections of public waste bins have resumed in Rhyl and Prestatyn following a short break during November.

Councillor Barry Mellor, Lead Member for the Environment and Transport said, “We’d like to apologise for the short period of time when public bins couldn’t be emptied, but can reassure residents that this has now been resolved.

“Weekend collections of public bins continue to be a focus of Denbighshire’s Streetscene team and they will continue to be regularly cleared going forward.

“We would like to remind residents that the public bins are for disposing of small items of rubbish and we’d encourage people, where possible to take any large amount of waste home with them. These bins are not designed for domestic waste.”

Domestic waste, which is placed in, or next to the public bins is considered to be fly-tipping and these instances will be investigated by the Council and appropriate action will be taken.
